12: Place Your Website HUB on EVERYTHING
At this point in the process you have setup many new online channels that will hopefully begin bringing in NEW Guests visiting your church.
Just like you want all of those channels pointing back to your main website HUB online, you also want everything coming OUT of your Church to point people to your main website HUB.
Many Churches are already doing this step and already place their main website on everything. But I would encourage you to take it to the next level.
Put your website link and logo on EVERYTHING.
- Interior & Exterior Signage
- Appreciation Gifts
- Email Signatures
- Connection Cards
- Letterhead
- Envelopes
- Signage
- Pens
- and whatever else you can think of…
Do the same INSIDE your Church as you have done OUTSIDE.
Take the same approach inside your church that you have taken online by having all of your Social Media, Local Business Directories, external Websites and EVERYTHING directing back to your Website HUB.
This gives you maximum control of your information, and if you need to change something you can do it once and fix it everywhere.
If you have too many places that you direct people for information, you will have to change all of them to correct an issue. That is a huge issue.
Individual Ministries may have their own primary sources of information that may be different from the main website. The Youth Ministry may want their main source of communication to be their Facebook Page, a separate Website or even an Instagram channel for example.
But, you can still maintain consistency in promoting your main website by creating links to those pages that have your main website address in them.
You can create a page on your website if you use WordPress with the free Page Links To Plugin, for example, that allows you to direct a page on your website to any other online link.
We have done this for our Finding Your Church Social Media links to make them easier to get to and remember. So instead of someone having to remember www.Facebook.com/ChurchFind they can just go to www.FindingYourChurch.com/Facebook
You could do the same for your individual Ministries that want external pages as their main links. Simply create a page on your site that directs to the external page and you are able to still promote your main website HUB while allowing them to communicate on a site that works for them.
