It has been awhile since I have posted, but I am looking forward to getting in more of a routine. This is especially true since my focus is turning more and more toward getting found in local search. Specifically with my church.

I am not only trying to have our church website get found however. Your church website is only one way to get found in Google. And really, one of the most difficult areas to get a good result. We should constantly be searching for new ways to be found.

So much focus is placed on the church website itself. The main site is definitely important. It acts as a hub for all of the other channels to return to and be directed back to. But, it does not have to be your only source of traffic and exposure.

The reality is that even if you did not have a website at all you could still be highly visible on Google. We will be looking at these methods and the strategy behind it in future posts.

For now, I just want to challenge you to begin thinking outside the box as to how your church site can become more visible on Google and other mobile apps and search engines. And yes, most of it is free…
